Maternal Delight III

The model for the three etchings entitled Mutterfreuden (Mother's Joy) was the watercolour Modersstolthet (Mother's Pride), created in 1882 during his first longer stay abroad in Spain in Cádiz, Andalusia. Zorn was accompanied on this trip by his painter friend Ernst Josephson, who was ten years his senior.

Both often worked with the same models (see below).
